KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 26 — Many, many months ago, I looked sceptically at Tan Sri Hassan Marican when he told me that Myanmar would, in the near future, be one of the strong Asian economies “if they put their minds to it”. Sensing my scepticism, Hassan asked if I had been to Myanmar before. At that time, it was the only ASEAN country I had yet to visit.
