Open letter to Mr Geert Wilders, leader of The Netherlands’ Party for Freedom

Open letter to Mr Geert Wilders, leader of The Netherlands’ Party for Freedom

Dear Mr Geet Wilders,

Shalom (Jew prayers for Peace). I hope you would be able to read my letter offering Peace, loving kindness and mutual love and respect. I hope  and pray that_

  1. this letter could get your good-self’s attention
  2. God/Jesus help all of us to soften and open our hearts.
  3. we could able to forgive each other to start a new friendship.

Where there is hatred, let me sow Love.

Where there is doubt, let me sow Faith.

Where there is darkness, let me sow Light.

Where there is despair, let me sow Hope.

Where there is injury, let me sow Pardon.

For it is in Giving that we receive.

It is in Pardoning that we are pardoned.

It is in dying that we are born to Eternal life.

(St. Prancis.)

The best revenge is forgiveness.

  • We must try to forgive and forget.
  • Yes, our anger, hatred and grievance would definitely burn our own heart.
  • Animosity burns and destroys not only the enemy and the innocent surroundings and the immediate neighbors but also one’s own-self.
  • Animosity and the desire of revenge blind a person and may even unintentionally leads to a self-destructive course.
  • Hatred incites and grows reciprocal hatred from the opposite side.
  • Only if we discard and stop our hatred – the reciprocal hatred will diminish and disappear.
  • Viscous circle of the hatred, revenge, animosity could be stopped by forgiveness followed by love.
  • We must not even secretly or quietly keep hatred and desire for revenge even in our heart. We should not just pretend to be magnanimous from outside appearances only.
  • Forgiveness is more effective and sweet when we are winning or when we are in a position to revenge. That is the best time to forgive, forget the bitter feelings, start a new friendship, and do something your enemy never expected by just try to be nice, gentle and good on him.
  • This is the best way to cut the vicious circle of revenge. In this way, we can change our enemy in to one of our best friends. Redemption resulted to transform him in to your savior. He could be changed totally and will be even possible to sacrifice his life for us if really necessary.
  • It is very easy to push your small minor enemy in to a lifelong fore by a simple, stupid revenge.
  • There is a saying that even if we have a thousand of friends, it is not enough. But even if we have one enemy, it is too much.

We must cultivate mutual respect, trust and understanding among all the religions.

  • We must search, point out, and promote the common virtues and good points from our various religions.
  • We must ignore the controversial, potential igniting differences in various religions.
  • Actually, none of us can easily prove that the other religions are totally wrong and our religion is absolutely true and right. Religion depends on our faiths.
  • All of the religions sometimes need blind faith without any question.
  • We are not arguing here that any religion or all the religions are not true. Actually I am a practicing Muslim and absolutely believe in Islam.
  • But I would never say or try to prove that other religions are wrong.
  • According to Islam, Allah had sent more than 124,000 prophets to our world.
  • There is a strong possibility that the various religions are just the various forms of a common faith with different approaches.
  • There may be gradual degradation or slow changes because of prolonged time factor but we should not blindly accuse that other old religions are wrong.

In spite of serious instances of abuse of various religions by some of their claimed followers so as to justify or instigate acts of brutality and bloodshed, there are positive and helpful common themes in these religions. Therefore, peaceful and candid intra-faith and inter-faith dialogues are important tools in working for such goals.

Peace be upon you and all of us

Your’s lovingly

Dr San Oo Aung @ Zafar Shah

Right-Wing Dutch MP: ‘I’ll Be Safe In UK’

NetherlandA right-wing Dutch politician accused of Islamophobia has told Sky News Online he is not scared for his own safety during a controversial trip to the UK.

Geert Wilders has arrived in London after a Government ban, which stopped him entering the country in February, was overturned.

The Netherlands’ Party for Freedom leader had intended to show his short film Fitna – which urges Muslims to tear out “hate-filled” verses from the Koran – to the House of Lords.

But then home secretary Jacqui Smith made him turn back after arriving at Heathrow because his presence could “threaten community harmony and therefore public safety”.

Nothing happened, there was no violence. I’m non-violent, I just have an idea.

When asked if he feared for his safety during the latest trip, or that it could spark violence, Mr Wilders said: “I do not expect that to happen.”

Speaking in the Netherlands ahead of his flight, he said: “They (the Home Office) thought I might be the cause of community disharmony and public security problems, which I found strange.

“I showed Fitna in the US Senate, I showed it in the Danish parliament, I showed it in Jerusalem – I’m also set to show it to the Czech parliament – and nothing happened in any of those countries.

Wilders still plans to show his film

“Nothing happened, there was no violence. I’m non-violent, I just have an idea.”

Two high-profile Dutch critics of Islam have been assassinated in recent years – politician Pim Fortuyn in 2002 and filmmaker Theo van Gogh in 2004.

Meanwhile, the 2005 publication in Denmark of cartoons apparently mocking the Prophet Mohammed led to worldwide demonstrations, some of which turned violent.

Mr Wilders says his film has been available around the world, in 20 different languages, for the past 18 months and had not sparked any inter-faith clashes.

“It’s really silly to think I would show this film and something bad would happen. I don’t expect anything will happen on Friday,” he said.

Mr Wilders has met UK Independence Party’s Lord Malcolm Pearson to arrange a viewing of the film for other peers.

The Dutch MP said he hoped the viewing “might open some of the people’s eyes that are not open to, as I see it, the threat of Islamism to western societies”.

He said: “I believe it is not so much a religion, as a totalitarian ideology aimed at dominating.

Whether people agree with me or not, people will agree people should not be banned for their point of view.

Mr Wilders speaking from The Netherlands

“Our cultures, based on humanism, Judaism and Christianity, are far better than the Islamic culture.

“We should be proud of that and fight for the preservation of our culture. It (Islam) will cost us our freedom.”

He added: “I hope that the British people will be grateful that I come – not because I’m Geert Wilders or my point of view, but because the decision by the court in Britain to overrule the decision was a victory for freedom of speech.

“Whether people agree with me or not, people will agree people should not be banned for their point of view.”

Prosecutors in Mr Wilders’ homeland have accused him of inciting hatred and discrimination.
