Eid al-Adha (Arabic: عيد الأضحى ‘Īd ul-’Aḍḥā, Urdu: بقرعید) or the Festival of Sacrifice is a religious festival celebrated by Muslims and Druze worldwide in commemoration of the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to Allah. The devil tempted Ibrahim by saying he should disobey Allah and spare his son. As Ibrahim was about to kill his son, Allah intervened: instead Allah provided a lamb as the sacrifice. This is why today all over the world Muslims who have the means to, sacrifice an animal, as a reminder of Ibrahim’s obedience to Allah. The meat is then shared out with family and friends, as well as the poorer members of the community (Islam names Ishmael as the son who was to be sacrificed, whereas the Judeo-Christian name Isaac).

Migrant workers support group Tenaganita’s Irene Fernandez was charged in 1996 under the Printing Presses and Publications Act (1984) for allegedly publishing false news in a memorandum to the federal government, “Abuse, Torture and Dehumanised Conditions of Migrant Workers in Detention Centres”.  

Seven years later in Oct 2003, Irene was found guilty and sentenced to 12-months imprisonment. She was allowed bail pending appeal.

Regarding the economic rights, the Holy Quran says:

And in their wealth there is acknowledged right for the needy and destitute. (51:19)

Anyone who needs help, irrespective of the race, religion or citizenship has a right in the property and wealth of the Muslims.

If you are in a position to help and a needy person asks you for help or if you come to know that he is in need, then it is your duty to help him.

Where is the Minister of Justice, Minister in the PM’s office Tan Seri Nazri Aziz, who even seemed to be championing for the Rohingyas, even mocking the Home Ministers that, HM did not know but he and PM’s security dpt had already arranged and approved all.

YAB DSAAB also acknowledged that Myanmar SPDC is hopeless and had even killed their own monks and Japanese photographer. But later even persuaded the other ASEAN leaders not to take action on the generals which was secretly recorded by Singaporeans.

From ANOTHER WORRIED RESIDENT of Kuala Lumpur: I REFER to Worried Resident’s letter on “Disgusted by behaviour of foreign workers,” (The Star, Nov 9).

….Since then, we have had to put up with workers bathing, brushing teeth and washing their laundry in front of the house every day………..

Then both of you and the STAR editors who think it is fit to bash up poor foreign workers should all go back to INDIA, CHINA OR INDONESIA where your ancestors came. Because according to your logic and anti-foreigner concepts, your ancestors SHOULD ALSO SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO COME HERE, because all first generation migrants who are not professional migrants are dirty, doing dangerous and non-dignified low pay jobs that the locals shun.

ACTUALLY ALMOST THE WHOLE POPULATION OF SINGAPORE ARE MIGRANTS BUT THEY ALL ARE ARROGANT ON NEW COMERS. BUT MOST OF THEM ARE COWARDS/EUNUCHS AND DARE NOT EVEN SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THE LEE DYNASTY. BUT THEY WILL BULLY OTHERS EVERYWHERE, IN THE CYBERSPACE OR EVEN IN WIKI.

NOV 3 — On July 4th, 1774, a declaration was adopted by the Second Congress of Thirteen States of America, then at war with Great Britain. This was drafted by Thomas Jefferson and it was a formal declaration of independence.

The preamble was as follows:

When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the Political Bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the Powers of the Earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent Respect to the Opinions of Mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the Separation.

In a country where discrimination against minority groups is a fact of life, Muslims are bottom of the heap.

There is a saying that if you lose control of your bicycle in Burma’s western Arakan State, you shouldn’t worry as it will stop when it hits a kala.

Kala is Burmese slang for outsider, or alien, and although Caucasians are sometimes referred to as white kala, the term is more commonly used for anyone dark skinned, usually of Indian origin. While some shrug the term off, others consider it abusive and degrading: an insult to people whose ancestors may have fought for the country and who consider themselves wholly Burmese.

NOTE: DOBAMA is pronounced as Do’ Bama and means, we Burmans or our Burmese or we all as Burmese.

‘Do’ ‘ could mean we and has a possessive meaning.

This is not my invention but we Burmese already had a Do’ Bama association or Dobama Asiayone during the colonial period and was the first association that started the change of mindset of Burmese to start an  anti-British movement.

“…Haji Ramli Street was a dirt lane where Obama used to while away the hours kicking a soccer ball. In the long rainy season, it turned to thick, mucky soup; Obama and his friends wore plastic bags over their shoes to walk though it,” said Adi, who at 46 is the same age as Obama….

“Neighborhood Muslims worshiped in a nearby house, which has since been replaced by a larger mosque. Sometimes, when the muezzin sounded the call to prayer, Lolo and Barry would walk to the makeshift mosque together.

… “His mother often went to the church, but Barry was Muslim. He went to the mosque. I remember him wearing a sarong,” said Adi.

China releases list of wanted alleged terror group leaders, including Chinese Muslims

BEIJING, Oct 21 –

 

Xinjiang, a sprawling territory three times the size of France, is home to 9 million Uighurs (pronounced WEE’gurs), Turkic Muslims who possess a language, culture and religion distinct from China’s Han majority. Like Tibetans, they have complained of a colonial-style Chinese presence on their territory, chafing under tight religious and cultural controls and complaining that economic development has disproportionately benefited Chinese migrants.

With the Olympics over and the world’s focus elsewhere, Chinese authorities have been conducting a wide-ranging crackdown featuring mass arrests, according to Uighur activists based overseas.

Dilxat Raxit, spokesman for the Germany-based World Uighur Congress, said today’s announcement was politically motivated, part of an attempt to provide legal cover for the government crackdown. China’s refusal to publicly release evidence or allow an independent investigation into the recent attacks undercuts its accusations of terrorism, he said.
