Malaysia wants Myanmar to be open about refugee problem

HUA HIN (Thailand): The problem of Rohingya refugees fleeing from Myanmar has become a regional problem and Malaysia wants the military junta to address the matter.

Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim raised the issue at the Asean Foreign Ministers informal dinner on Thursday night where he stressed to Myanmar that the problem was immense.

Burma’s No 2 leader, Vice Snr-Gen Maung Aye, has promised the Thai military supreme commander during an official visit to Burma that authorities will try to stem the flow of Rohingya refugees who try to reach neighboring countries illegally, according to the Thai News Agency (TNA).

  1.  Undocumented migrants- to issue IMM13
  2. Documented, WP/EP holders- to issue Red ICs
  3. Red IC holders- to issue Blue ICs
