South Africa accuses Israel Navy of killing hundreds of Palestinian boat people from Gaza

South Africa accuses Israel Navy of killing hundreds of Palestinian boat people from Gaza

WARNING: Readers must read the lower part of this news/article to understand the truth. Those reading the upper part only and failed to continue could be mislead or miss the real message.

Cape town, South Africa(AFP) — South Africa said Sunday that hundreds of people were missing at sea, believed to be part of a wave of Palestinian  boat people from Gaza were allegedly dragged out to the middle of the ocean by Israel Navy and left to die.
Israel has denied the accusations, but accounts of survivors and the latest reports from the South Africa coast guard have piled the pressure on Tel-Avid, and the Israel government said it would meet rights groups on Monday.

The Israel navy is accused of detaining the migrants, Palestinian  boat people from Gaza, after they washed up on the Israel coast — and then towing them to sea and leaving them to their fate.

South Africa’s coast guard said Sunday it had rescued hundreds of the refugees from the Palestinian, Gaza, but that hundreds more were feared lost.

“These are really serious allegations that need to be investigated by the UN and the Israel government,” he said…………………

Ignorant Americans are paying for Israel’s war crimes in-spite of gloomy economy

Ignorant Americans are paying for Israel’s war crimes

in-spite of  gloomy economy

Maybe, just maybe, its the policies that are all screwed up. And that means looking at the top. A nation raised on the fear of the holocaust, all ready to fight. Winning votes by being victorious in war crimes.

U.S. seeks ship to move arms to Israel
The U.S. is seeking to hire a merchant ship to deliver hundreds of tons of arms to Israel from Greece later this month, tender documents seen by Reuters show.

The U.S. Navy’s Military Sealift Command (MSC) said the ship was to carry 325 standard 20-foot containers of what is listed as “ammunition” on two separate journeys from the Greek port of Astakos to the Israeli port of Ashdod in mid-to-late January.
A “hazardous material” designation on the manifest mentions explosive substances and detonators, but no other details were given.

“Shipping 3,000-odd tons of ammunition in one go is a lot,” one broker said, on condition of anonymity.

Americans, YOU are paying for all this stuff, at a time when 11 million of you have lost your jobs, and one out of every ten of you will lose your homes this year.

Responsible Thai generals must be punished for torturing and killing of Imam

Responsible Thai generals must be punished

for torturing and killing of Imam

BANGKOK, Jan 11 – The death of an imam while in army custody last year will present Thailand’s new government with its first test of whether it can deliver justice in the country’s troubled southern provinces.

On Christmas Day, a court in Narathiwat ruled that 56-year-old imam Yapa Kaseng was tortured and killed while being interrogated by soldiers in March.

The body of the Muslim community leader bore evidence of blunt force trauma, including rib fractures. His lungs were punctured, and his body was covered with bruises, and had abrasions on the back.

The death of the imam has gone down as a landmark abuse case. Rarely has anyone been held accountable for deaths in custody a long-held complaint of locals as well as non-governmental organisations and watchdog groups like the New York-based Human Rights Watch (HRW).

It didn’t even dare condemn the Burmese military thugs who rule Burma, whose justice is meted out in the Stalinist/Maoist standard of the end of gun’s barrel.

Just look at how much braver Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and Philippines are when compare to M’sia at UNGA voting on 24-12-2008.

Published: September 15, 2008

BANGKOK — Myanmar’s military junta will allow the pro-democracy leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi to receive letters from her two sons as well as some foreign magazines, slightly easing her stringent house arrest, according to her lawyer.

The lawyer, U Kyi Win, also said over the weekend that the junta had promised to ease restrictions on her two housekeepers, whose movements have been restricted as well, according to wire service reports and exile groups in Thailand.

Irrawaddy:Burmese Dissidents in Exile Challenge Junta’s UN Seat

Wednesday,September 10,2008

Two Burmese dissident groups in exile, the National Council of the Union of Burma (NCUB) and the Members of Parliament Union-Burma (MPU), attempted on Tuesday to threaten the Burmese junta’s claim to a seat at the United Nations.

The groups filed a formal challenge to the regime’s credentials yesterday, saying that Burma’s legitimate government was elected in 1990 during a free and fair election, and that the military junta had illegally and ruthlessly disregarded the will of the people.

Suu Kyi sent a strong ‘Message” to the eUNuches

Suu Kyi sent a strong ‘Message” to the eUNuches

CHINA AND RUSSIA had effectively castrated the UNSC and so the UN is now a eunuch. UNSG is also from South Korea, always subserviant to US. And this Asia Giant is over polite and soft.

Has Aung San Suu Kyi started playing a new game?

If so, the latest visit of UN Special Envoy to Burma Ibrahim Gambari could mark the beginning of a subtle but significant shift in the pro-democracy leader’s tactics, which have remained almost unchanged for the past 20 years.

By refusing to meet with Gambari on two occasions—at a scheduled meeting on Wednesday and again on Friday—Suu Kyi appeared to be sending a silent message that she was less than happy with the outcome of his efforts to date.

UN’s Lost Aid May Be Tip of the Iceberg

Wednesday,July 30,2008

BANGKOK—The loss of United Nations aid money via “unacceptable” exchange rates orchestrated by the Burmese regime was going on long before this week’s disclosures about Cyclone Nargis cash losses, a US nongovernmental organization says.

“There are indications that [the United Nations Development Program], even prior to Cyclone Nargis, provided larger cuts to Myanmar’s Than Shwe government than the [up to] 25 percent now admitted to by the UN’s humanitarian operations,” said Matthew Russell Lee of the New York-based NGO Inner City Press.

United Nations Human Rights Council

United Nations Human Rights Council

From Wikipedia

The United Nations Human Rights Council is an international body within the United Nations System. Its stated purpose is to address human rights violations. The Council is the successor to the United Nations Commission on Human Rights, which was often criticized for the high-profile positions it gave to member states that did not guarantee the human rights of their own citizens.[1]

The United Nations General Assembly established the Human Rights Council on 15 March 2006.[2] by a vote which was opposed only by United States, Marshall Islands and Palau (bound to the United States through Compacts of Free Association), and Israel.[3] The United States explained its vote was due to there being not enough safeguards to keep human rights abusing nations off the council. Venezuela expressed serious objections to the certain paragraphs which it believed implicitly make it possible to find pretexts to intervene in the internal affairs of States[4] and abstained.
