I am right to call both of them Hell hounds but Radovan Karadzic is no-more free to roam and terrorize its helpless people, thank to the rescuing forces of UN, US and Allied NATO forces but Than Shwe alone is roaming freely terrorizing the whole Myanmar or Burma. He is not the human king but king of the jungle, ruling the Myanmar with the ‘Rules of the Jungle’. But he is not even the Lion King nor Saddan Sin Min (legendary Elephant King) but a Hell Hound only.

There is currently an outstanding international arrest warrant against Karadžić following the Rule 61 of ICTY which concluded that there are reasonable grounds for believing that the accused has committed the crimes in question including genocide. US government has since offered a $5 million award for his arrests.

I was wondering whether Than Shwe and cohorts could avoid the International Criminal Court by following the fate of Hitler or Milosevic by deciding to die. My suggesting that Than Shwe and cohorts could show off like Saddam Hussein or Milosevic by arguing their own cases at the International Criminal Court by an attack is also not possible. They are trying to use the axiom in the football, ‘the best defence is attack.’

Four cases had been sent to national courts for trial. 15 of those convicted had completed their sentences and been released by March 2006.[1]

                              UNSC is almost paralysed by the blockage of China and Russia’s vetoes. USA is bogged down by Iraq. Buddha had already entered the Parinibban (Nirvana) and not ready to answer our prayers. So we have no one to turn to. But Buddha had entrusted the Tha Gyar Min (King of gods) to take the responsibility to monitor the human beings. Tha Gyar Min’s Emerald bed’s foam mattress’s sudden hardening as a warning sign of serious problems on earth is also no more useful because Tha Gyar Min is already away from the bed on the field duty in Burma. The only positive point is: Tha Gyar Min even need not use his ‘Diva Sakkhu’ or Angel Telescope to investigate this, he already knows all. But he had failed his duty to look after Buddha’s subjects.

Dear Pho Tha Gyar Min, Thingyan is not over yet and we all know that you are still on earth busy with your job of recording the sinners in dog-leather merit book. But those SPDG Generals or Hell Hounds at large in Myanmar are never afraid of Sansara or the life hereafter. They are not scared that their name would be recorded in your dog leather book. They believe that the ‘Power come out from the barrel of the guns’ only. But if Tha Gyar Min shoots them with the lightening thunder weapon their body would be burnt and useless. We heard that your stock of dog leather books is very low. We hereby suggested Tha Gyar Min to skin alive those Hell Hounds at large in Myanmar, the SPDG Generals. It will solve two problems at the same time.  

Dear Pho Tha Gyar, if those hounds or hunting dogs’ were skinned alive, Tha Ger Min need not worry anymore for the continuous supply of dog leather as there are more than 400,000 SPDC-dog-soldiers. So in Burmese we could call ‘Nga Kyin sie nhint Nga Kyin kyaw thee’ or in other words Pho Tha Gyar could use the SPDC Hell Hounds’ hides or leathers to record the sins of SPDG Regime.

Dear Great Bandula,

this is a very meticulously researched and written article with an excellent “compare and contrast format”. You have discovered some very uncanny parallelisms.
Please do a similar one on Sein and Shwe (Saddam and Than) and let me contribute one fact:  Saddam headed the Baath Socialist Party, Thanshwe’s stepfather Ne Win headed the BSPP.
Also, Rangoon is like Kuwait or Basra and Mandalay is like Bagdad.
Actually Rgn to Mandalay is 440 miles whereas Rgn to Pyimana is about 300miles, about the same as Basra to Bagdad.
I once wrote a compare and contrast essay on Karen.org about the geography and politics of Iraq and Burma and even included a dream-fantasy of the US invading Burma, following the same route to Bagdad except that the Burma invasion will be finished in just 3 days, not 3 weeks.
I love your article but the only thing I must say in the way of corrections is the number of SPDC soldiers and officers who must stand trial.
You mentioned the figure, “hundreds.”
I beg to differ and suggest you edit it to “hundreds of thousands” since you later at the end of your piece said there are more than 400,000 MAD sitt-khway, soldier-dogz (Myanmar Army Dictator’s, MAD)
